We received a letter attached to an e-mail today from New Delhi telling us that they have our case materials. Our letter from the Kathmandu embassy telling us that our case had been moved to New Delhi is dated Sept. 7th. We had our meeting with the embassy on Sept. 10th when we were given this letter and told the news we did not want to hear. Today's New Delhi letter is dated Sept. 28th. So from the time our case supposedly left Kathmandu until it reached New Delhi was exactly 3-weeks. Thank you U.S. government for following through with the "quick" and "prioritized" processing of these cases (sarcasm intended). At least we now know our case is there and we have heard that our independent investigation has begun. Other than a lot of e-mails, phone calls, and file organization, there is nothing new to report.
