Today we went to the embassy to submit our final paperwork. They were very helpful and encouraging. Prior to the interview you raise your hand and swear to tell the truth. Diwas also raised his hand and said "OK". Good to know he takes the truth seriously. We hope to pickup our Visa tomorrow.
We are still working on words, which is going well, except when he masters a word he tends to scream it over and over to anyone he sees (Diwas not Michael).
We are truly blessed with great friends and family. While checking our e-mail this morning and looking at a newsletter from our church we saw an announcement for a benefit event on our behalf, being organized and hosted by our friends. What a surprise but WHY? Adopting a child was our choice and we knew there could be pitfalls, delays, and unexpected costs. We just didn't imagine they would happen to us, but we are proud that we fought a good and honest fight and that we prevailed. Please come to the event and gather as our friends and have a good time, but in no way should you feel obligated to help us as your prayers and well-wishes were/are more than sufficient.
Below is one of our favorite pictures. The lady next to Karyn was Diwas's caregiver.

haha!! There are so many "counselor" things I want to say about choices and support, but I will just stick to saying how easy it is for us to have something like this for you!! We love you guys so much and little Diwas too!!
