A Show In A Show

Yesterdays orphanage visit was interesting. We had asked if we could take pictures of our child with some of the other children at the orphanage so we could show him once we are home. Not only did they allow us to do this, they organized a group photo of all of the children (currently 35). After the pictures the other children performed acrobatics, sang, and danced for us. It sounds sappy, but this is something neither of us will forget. It was great fun to see the children happy but you quickly beginning realizing that the vast majority of them will never be able to leave that orphanage. Our orphanage pays for all of the children (once they turn five) to go to school. They feel that if they are never adopted at least they will be educated and be able to find work.
So that was the first show, the second came as our child began chasing his friend around the play area while holding a soccer ball. The ball fell, he tripped and split his lip and had a bloody nose. However, like a true Brown, he refused medical assistance and continued to chase his friend.
Off to the embassy in a couple of hours to check on our paperwork and then back to the orphanage. Please continue to send along your prayers and well wishes.
